As a sophomore I had just begun getting interested in business of social media, my Social Media Internship with Northwest Missouri State University allowed me to see that I have a passion for connecting with people online. Reading stories and comments and being able to help students commit to Northwest from behind a computer was an amazing experience. Working under Mallory Murray, the Northwest Chief Officer of Marketing and Design, I was able to:
- Plan and publish valuable content to the university’s Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube profiles
- Grow the University’s Facebook page to over 20,000 likes
- Create a daily average of reaching 75,000 people, 38,000 organically
- Organize and facilitate social media contest
