My First Job

There are 31 days that stand between me and opportunity. Since high school I, like most of my generation, have been programmed to work towards college and then a job. I have been researching, looking and applying. Reading, revising and critiquing. Excited, worried, hopeful and now I have decided that I am hiring.

That is right, I am now hiring a company to snatch me up for full time employment. Please refer to the job description below to see if your company is right for me!

Erin Funk’s First Job:

Description: I am seeking an establishment that can challenge me. A work place that I can learn from and that will provide something different everyday. I would like a company that takes the time to know about employees and utilize their strengths as well as work on their weaknesses.  They need to provide growth or movement inside the work place. The right business for me will also know since I will be new, I might make mistakes, but I will learn from them and better myself. The organization will be somewhere I feel comfortable and describe as ‘not really work’ because the saying goes, ‘If you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life.’

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • At least 1 – 2 years experience working with recent graduates
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Must use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to provide multiple projects at a time and deadlines
  • Working with groups and teams

Additional Information:
Graduation: May 4, 2013
Experience: Entry level
Favorite Color: Orange
